Budget-friendly basic shelter
It's all about utility, right? The fridge and microwave worked wonders for late-night snacks, and the air conditioning was like a breath of fresh air in the sweltering heat.
Wasn't exactly a bargain,,, but it did the job.

Inviting room and staff is always accommodating.
Everything is great here, had a real good stay for 1 night. It has marvellous and comfy location, 19 miles away from the airport. The place to have dinner at a medium distance from the hotel is Siam Cuisine, liked this place. The property has got a fantastic restaurant.

The room was super basic but clean and cozy enough. Air conditioning worked well, a must. Had a fridge and microwave, so that was a nice touch. The bed was comfy, but the furniture was a bit worn out. Bathroom was freshly redone, and everything sparkled. Honestly, even though the outside looked run down, the inside surprised me with its cleanliness. Felt pretty quiet even being on a busy road.

It was cheap for our extremely tight budget
I thought it was rude that they asked me 21 questions about wanting 4 towels in the morning for my boyfriend and I to shower. Mind your own business...don't be so argumentative and give guests what they request, you aren't my mother, need to work on being a good host.

Basic but Smith-Made Memories
Our stay began with a friendly check-in, and the clean room offered us a comfy night. The fridge and microwave were a nice touch for snacks and drinks.
The walls felt thin, as we heard our neighbors quite clearly, which might wake light sleepers. The bathroom could use a little more scrubbing for comfort.

Adequate and cheap, half the price of San Francisco Travelodge. Poor area of Berkeley and across the bay from San Francisco.
Area, need to cross the bay bridge. If intention is to visit San Francisco, better to stay airport side of bay.

I appreciated the clean and updated bathroom. It. The staff were accommodating, which I thoroughly enjoyed as a senior traveler.
Limited parking space could be improved for seniors.

Cheap. We called it a "cheater's motel". But it was cozy, and it was clean.
The flip-style lock was broken, as if someone had locked their drunk spouse out of the room and he'd busted in.

I stayed in Berkeley Inn 4 nights. We wanntet to see SF and there was a goog connection by sub. 10 min walking to the next station and 20 min later you are in downtown SF. I also visited Berkeley Downtown and the university. Realy amazing ;-)
The rooms are very small and the shower was not clean enough. I expected more for this pirice.

The room was basic but met our needs and the housekeeping service was good. The location is good for the BART, cafes etc.
The furnishings and decor need refreshing.

A cozy spot with a clean, spartan room, mini fridge, and convenient access to the shops. The bathroom was bright and updated-nice touch!
Plus, don't forget to bring your own hairdryer unless you fancy air-drying with the best of them.
